HARPTICULATE is the product of many years’ experience teaching beginners of all ages, and feeling the need for a book that took things very slowly. HARPTICULATE introduces students to notes and rhythms in a way that allows them to fully absorb the technical demands of the harp without moving on to new concepts too quickly. The whole book requires only two fingers, with short pieces that provide opportunities to practise each new element in multiple ways and video links to support hand positions and rhythmic work, so that musical understanding is achieved simultaneously with technical assurance.
