Jewellery Box is an 8 minute composition for advanced pedal harp and ‘cello. Featuring four movements: Ruby, Moonstone, Sapphire and Diamond, Jewellery Box is an intriging original composition designed to draw audiences into the rich sonorities of the harp and ‘cello.

Ruby is bold and dramatic, very much a dialogue between the two instruments.

Moonstone is gentle, calm and with a certain Scottish flavour to the music.

Sapphire is mysterious and intense, again using the two instruments in dialogue.

Diamond is fast-paced, full of energy and iridescent sparkle, providing a rousing finish to this varied work.
